I am not human.

I sort of hate when comms I'm in get spotlighted. thrifthorror is pretty awesome, but it just exploded with activity after being spotlighted. Heh. My flist is crazy with horrid thrifting items, which is cool, but OMG SO MUCH. It does really make me want to go thrifting again, though. I haven't in years, but I fucking loved it. I went into every thrift store I could find when I happened upon them a few years back. I've found some really cool/crazy/weird stuff that I love, like an old ornate candle holder that used to hang on the walls of a church that had closed, old toys from when I was little (talking Pee-wee Herman doll, glow worm...), old 60's/70's beaded box purses, see/hear/speak no evil monkeys... I love stuff like that.

I used to collect shot glasses, though they're all gone now but one. The one I kept was just so bizarre, and I'm actually considering getting an altered version of it as a tattoo around my ankle. Of course, I have NO money for that (lol or any idea of what it might cost), but maybe one day.

I'd take the man throwing, his "yelling", and the boot out, but keep the rest. The thing makes no sense, really (as far as I can tell--anybody know if this has any meaning beyond 'wtf'?), but it means something to me in my own way.

Anyway, as long as I'm posting pics, here's another. Just before I went to bed last night, I found one of our dogs snuggling the cat. It was so adorable that I had to get a shot of it.

OMFG! I wrote about 2000 words of Big Bang fic today at work on the Portable Apps version of AbiWord. Took my usb home and tried to open it. It gave me an error, then the doc disappeared from the list of recent docs. WTF?

As much as I don't like the idea of this doc sitting around at work, I HAD BETTER find 2k worth of manipulative, ultra-bitchy, withdrawing from opiates!Reid on that computer when I get there tomorrow. HAD BETTER. OR I WILL HURT SOMEONE.

ARGH.

So the TV situation is still not resolved. The husband finally cleared away most of the shit that was everywhere (much to our cat's dismay), though. The good TV is still on the floor, but we got rid of the old one today.

Instead of carrying it up the stairs, we decided to take it up the hill along the side of the building, which is how we got the heavy things IN the apartment in the first place. So we carry it out the back door, slide back door shut, get about ten feet and the husband loses his hold, so we put it down.

We never got any farther with the pick-up-and-carry method.

Oh we tried to pick it up again, but no. There was no doing it. The last time we tried, the husband lifted his end first and pulled toward him as he stood, which forced me to either fall or put all the weight in my back. I chose to drop forward to my knees rather than crack my spine, thank you very much.

Anyway, I was fine, and went to stand. Now let me first say, in my defense, that we were on uneven ground. I got about half-way into a standing position, then went off balance, toppled, and literally did a stunt roll down the hill.

Can I just say? It was made of awesome.

After that, we decided to roll the TV up the hill, because we are smart like that. I roll down, it rolls up; yin and yang. All that jazz...

Anyway, I thought I'd link you to something that's been amusing me greatly lately. It's something I'm amused about when I see it in RL, so it's funny to see a whole blog dedicated to it. I particularly like the funeral home card several entries down from the top: Unnecessary Quotes.

Oh, and I'm totally fine, btw. Not even a scrape on me. :)

Somehow earlier today, the Kids in the Hall Terrier Song got in my mind. This resulted in me and the husband watching old KitH sketches on YouTube for a while (I had recorded a ton of it ages ago, but the tapes are wearing out), and damn it if they weren't just as funny now as they were ten years ago. *squishes them lovingly*

I would just like to know where the hell the good people at Zhu Garden think I'm going.

Okay, so the internet was down all day at work today, which means it might be out all weekend. *sigh* innerslytherin was kind enough to text me some prompts, and I'll be posting a couple drabbles from those soon, but I thought I'd see if you all had any more to give me. I won't make promises, but if the internet's out, I won't have a whole lot else to do at work but twiddle my thumbs and write fic in various forms for the next 2+ days (possibly).

So give me CM prompts if you have them; I need time killers! Anything except Gideon/anyone, Todd/anyone, Morgan/Garcia, or Hotch/Prentiss (okay, you can prompt me on that one, since I love a few H/P shippers on my flist, just don't hang your hopes on it :P). Or I can write Gen, just no Gideon or Todd.

Also, if anyone has any clue what fandoms I am talking about, I'll also write in Spaced and Sports Night fandoms. And would LOVE to have a reason to dig into writing some Life on Mars (first season spoilers only please) and Glee fic. :D

What file type plays on DVD players? Is it .dvd? I'm downloading a "brown noise" file to help me sleep (I've been running the fan all night, but it's not loud enough, and I'm going to burn the motor out, so I want something I can loop and play in the bedroom DVD player), and it's only available in .mp4 and .wma. There's a converter I can DL to convert files to .mp3, .wav, .aac, .amr, .ogg, and .mp2. I don't know what most of those file types are for. Will any of them work in a DVD player? If not, is there a free converter anyone can recommend? Or would someone who has a converter that would work be willing to convert it for me if there aren't free converters available? I could probably move the CD player in there if that won't work, and if so, I assume .mp3 will play on it? *is sometimes clueless*
