drabbles
A couple drabbles from when I asked for prompts the other day...
schemingreader prompted me with "How Eileen Snape realized she must be pregnant." I... twisted it a bit. ;) (Eileen/Tobais, PG)
Let it never be said that Slytherin love is not obsessive love.
Eileen memorized the charms by rote. She'd never preformed them before, but when she cast the conception charm against her stomach, she felt it. If Tobias' eyes were wandering, she'd stop it.
Plain as she was, Eileen knew how to use what she had. A heated look, a shift in her seat just enough to make her skirt hitch (she did have nice legs, at least), and Tobias was digging money out of his pockets at the nearest Muggle inn.
Three weeks later, she was late, and she didn't need a test to tell her why. She knew him well enough. He was a good man, in spite of his various flaws. Tobias would do the honorable thing; he'd make her his wife.
And he'd never leave her now... as long as he never found out what she was.
innerslytherin wanted "Remus/Peter, mismatched socks and champagne." I added Valentines Day, in honor of the day.... *G* Remus, apparently, shares my personal sock philosophy. (Remus/Peter, PG)
"Can't you just do a charm?" Peter asked curiously, tilting his head at Remus.
Remus only blinked at him for a moment over the rim of his glass. It probably wasn't very classy to be drinking champagne out of paper cups, but Remus was lucky he'd even managed to sneak the bottle into the castle in time for Valentine's Day, and Peter seemed happy enough about it. "A charm for what?"
Peter pinched Remus' big toe, and the mere suggestion of tickling had Remus yelping and pulling away, until Peter trapped him against the bed, laughing. "You said," Peter started, catching Remus' hand before he spilled his drink, "that they never match because you don't roll them together in pairs because it stretches them out, but can't you just do a charm to make them, mmm, unstretched?"
Remus snorted, but Peter was close and Remus was feeling loose from drink, so he kissed Peter anyway. "My socks-- I can take them off if it bothers you that much."
"No, don't," Peter said immediately. "It's you, I mean, it's part of who you-- It's just funny, is all. I don't know anyone else like you... I like it."
Remus looked up at Peter, whose smile was like sunshine melting through the mid-February frost, and Remus felt giddy and kissed Peter in thanks for the warmth. "Happy Valentine's Day," he murmured, and kissed him again.
